Meet The Team
Jordan Mayes (Director / Owner)
Jordan has over 15 years' experience in the industry and has provided acoustic design input on a vast range of projects from small residential developments to retail malls in the Middle East. He's an active member of the Institute of Acoustics.
Jordan established JPM Acoustics in 2016 with the simple objective of providing quality, bespoke advice with a personal service, which he felt was missing from corporate multi-disciplinary consultancies within the industry.
Away from the office Jordan can generally be found on the golf course or hiking with his family.
Adam Barr (Director / Owner)
Adam joined JPM Acoustics in 2018 as Director and co-owner. He has extensive experience in the monitoring, prediction and assessment of noise and vibration and has worked on large scale projects across the UK in various sectors.
Adam works on environmental and architectural acoustics projects, covering everything from preparing Environmental Statement Chapters for infrastructure projects, to the detailed design of new schools and hospitals.
In his spare time, Adam enjoys playing music with friends and is a keen snowboarder.
Luke Smith (Associate Consultant)
Luke has over 10 years' experience across both Environmental and Architectural acoustics. Luke joined JPM Acoustics in January 2024 and leads our London team.
He's authored numerous Noise & Vibration Chapters for complex EIAs and is an experienced project manager.
When Luke's not delighting our clinets, he's either making music (drummer!) or relaxing with his young family.
Nick Adamson (Associate Consultant)
Nick has over 18 years of experience working across both environmental and architectural acoustics. He leads our Building Acoustics technical services, and is an experienced project manager.
Nick joined JPM Acoustics in 2021 and is based on the North West.
When he's not at the office he can usualy be found on his bike (doing the odd 1000 mile ride!) or away in his camper van with the family.
